These statements are often followed by the idea that you should do it more often because you don’t know what you’re doing. That’s a pretty common view among parents and teachers who don’t realize that we’re basically lazy. We want to do everything now, so we can get it over with, and don’t realize that the only difference between a lazy person and a talented one is that the lazy one doesn’t work harder.
I have seen this exact thought in my own life. It is simply the mindset behind the title of this article, which is to say, if you are being lazy, dont do it more because you dont know what youre doing. If you are talented, do it more because you know what youre doing.
